The installation service you get
We provide a tailored service to suit the requirements of each project and each Main Contractor and provide the following as standard and included in the m2 rate that we quote;
- Supervision of the off-loading of window deliveries
- Site distribution of windows horizontally
- Supply & fitting of straps (135 x 50 x 3mm galvatite mild steel)
- Supply & fitting of Compriband 600 expanding foam tape as the primary external seal
- Supply & application of Hilti expanding PU foam to the perimeters of windows internally
- Supply & application of Arbosil LM or 1090 silicone to visible intermediate joints internally
- Fixing of aluminium cills and corner pressings where required
- All necessary fixings
- Full time on site supervision
- Weekly visits by our Installation Manager
What you do not get - We prefer to tell you about these now
It is often the case that when we issue a quotation, it's done so on general information such as a Bill of Quantities or a window schedule etc and without the benefit of window installation design drawings.
As a result there may be other elements that will be required to complete the window installation that we can provide but may be at an extra cost.
Typically these would be as follows:
- Supply and fix of non-standard bracketry
- Supply and fix of structural steelwork
- Supply and fix of secondary steelwork such as flitch plates
- Chemical or stainless steel fixings
All the above can be easily identified and clarified prior to contractual agreements.
We can also provide
- Forklifts for off-loading and distribution with a qualified driver.
- Cherrypickers and scissor lifts for difficult access areas with a qualified operator.
- Window protection with translucent fire rated correx sheet for application internally or externally.
